Digital X-rays
X-rays, also known as radiographs, are commonly used in dental exams of patients of all ages. Many problems with the teeth and surrounding tissues can go unnoticed during a visual examination. X-rays are needed to reveal:
- Small areas of decay between teeth or below existing restorations (fillings)
- Deep cavities
- Infections that can develop in the jaw bones
- Deep gum disease
- Abscesses or cysts
- Developmental abnormalities
- Some types of tumors

We use digital x-rays in our careful diagnosis and screening procedures. If it’s been some time since you last had dental x-rays taken, we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the comfort, speed and safety of digital technology. Because digital x-rays don’t require any chemical processing, the images are available within seconds and you don’t have to bite down on sharp pieces of x-ray film. Recent studies suggest that digital x-rays emit up to 90% less radiation than conventional x-rays, so they’re a wise choice for your smile and the environment, too.
Intraoral Camera
Using the camera, we can give you a tour of your mouth, live on a TV or computer screen. This allows you to see what we see, guiding you through your diagnosis and dental treatment options and keeping you informed every step of the way. On our end, the camera lets us visualize more and diagnose issues we might not have been able to see without the up-close view that the intraoral camera gives us.
Diagnodent® Laser Cavity Detection
The Diagnodent is a safe, painless laser that scans your teeth in search of hidden decay. Diagnodent often detects cavities in the very early stages, which enables Dr. Han to place smaller, less invasive fillings that preserve more of your natural tooth.
Soft Tissue Laser
Lasers are extremely precise and can help shorten the duration of almost any dental procedure. Because they eliminate the need for scalpels and sutures, lasers also help minimize pain and speed the healing process. We use our minimally invasive diode laser in a wide variety of applications, from routine cleanings and root canal therapy to cosmetic gum reshaping. Laser therapy can even help reduce tooth sensitivity and assist in the healing of canker sores, cold sores and mouth ulcers.
Less Time, More Comfort
The Isolite® System is a small invention that can make a big difference in your dental experience. It has a light to illuminate your mouth from the inside, so treatments are shadowless and more efficient. This means you spend less time in the dental chair! The Isolite promotes comfort, too, by allowing you to rest your jaw during treatment. In addition, it completely eliminates the need for cotton rolls and rinse breaks. Come in and experience the difference!
